Description
We are seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. You will work inside and outside the organisation to define, develop, and execute processes that deliver high-quality and reliable precision machined parts used in our missile and high-speed aircraft programmes.
This role focuses on collaborating and driving early engagement with our design teams and suppliers to meet our quality requirements the first time. You will partner with our design teams to support the design development process, provide design for manufacturability feedback, and help generate product data for precision mechanical parts that lead to supplier quality success.
Your responsibilities will include using your knowledge and expertise of machining, moulding, additive manufacturing, fabrication, special processes, and inspection/measurement to support the internal Anduril design process and ideation. You will also drive the supplier quality development processes throughout the product development stages with the product engineering team through design reviews, supplier process development, testing, and qualification for components and sub-assemblies for precision mechanical parts.
You will partner with development engineering, product quality engineering, sourcing engineering, category management, and program management to deliver predictable supply to the development programmes, production programmes, and manage exceptions/containments/deviations for supplier technical performance, particularly in the development phases.
Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a similar technical field. You will have experience with producing precision mechanical parts for aerospace or defence, scaling supplier capabilities and quality from prototype and proof of concept parts to low-rate production to high-rate production, and working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001-based Quality Management System requirements.
You must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance and be willing to travel up to 50% of the time to suppliers, sourcing partners, and manufacturing locations.
