Cleaning Operative

We are seeking a Cleaning Operative to join our team at Churchill Square Shopping Centre in Brighton. As a Cleaning Operative, you will be responsible for providing janitorial and waste removal services in a fast-paced environment.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Work effectively and efficiently as part of a team in a Shopping Centre environment
• Handle waste generated on site via approved waste streams
• Drive scrubber dryer and operate site equipment
• Provide high-quality janitorial service internally and externally in various areas, including welfare areas, social areas, and production areas
• Use walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers, and maintain equipment
• Respond to spillages and callouts from clients on site
• Communicate effectively with team members and line managers
• Wear protective clothing and comply with Health & Safety legislation and policies
• Undergo full training on cleaning methods and equipment

Requirements:

• Satisfactory response from Disclosure Board at a basic level
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements or willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and flexible approach to work
• Physically fit
