Security Officer - ARMED

We are seeking a Security Officer - ARMED to protect personnel, assets, and interests across our Company's footprint. This role involves armed physical security tactics, screenings, security event monitoring, and response.

Responsibilities:

• Protect personnel, assets, and interests throughout the Company's footprint
• Employ armed physical security tactics, screenings, highly technical security event monitoring, and security event response
• Respond to complex technical inquiries regarding access application systems
• Evaluate and determine the appropriate action in response to Physical Security Perimeter (PSP) intrusion events
• Coordinate and liaise with Operating Company and Corporate Security groups
• Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic
• Wear and maintain personal protection equipment
• Perform physical activities such as running, walking, and lifting

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/associate degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Minimum 3 years law enforcement, military, private or industrial security experience preferred
• Must be 21 years old
• Pass psychological test, firearms qualification, physical, drug test, and Internal Threat Program
• Qualify for firearm use and re-qualify annually with semi-auto pistol and shotgun
• Obtain and remain licensed through the Georgia Secretary of State – Board of Private Detectives and Security Agencies
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Superior computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work and make decisions with minimal direct supervision
• Knowledge of Software House CCURE and Avigilon Video Management System (VMS) Software is preferred
