Description
We're looking for an experienced Data Scientist to support our central analytics and finance disciplines at Twitch. As a Data Scientist, you will use data-driven methods to answer business questions, and deliver insights that deepen understanding of our viewer behavior and monetization performance.
Key responsibilities include: Creating actionable insights from data related to Twitch viewers, creators, advertising revenue, commerce revenue, and content deals. Developing dashboards and visualizations to communicate points of view that inform business decision-making. Creating and maintaining complex queries and data pipelines for ad-hoc analyses. Authoring narratives and documentation that support conclusions. Collaborating effectively with business partners, product managers, and data team members to align data science efforts with strategic goals.
Requirements include: 3+ years of data science experience with a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field. Expertise in using SQL for data analysis, reporting, and dashboarding. Expertise with visualization tools like Tableau or Quicksight. Experience with a scripting language such as Python or R. Comfort with data warehouses and big data technologies at consumer scale such as Redshift, Snowflake, Big Query, etc.
Bonus points for a Master's or Doctorate degree in a quantitative field, or experience in gaming or digital media.
