We are looking for a Product Testing Engineer to join our team. As a Product Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for executing development projects to generate functioning prototypes that will eventually become production ATV/SxS vehicles. You will research and apply new technologies to support business targets and maintain global vehicle product quality.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing basic component and system layouts for ATV/SxS prototype vehicles that achieve concept targets, function requirements, and manufacturing requisites with minimal supervision-feedback. Setting basic performance targets to satisfy vehicle concept and competitiveness. Performing validations of specification targets, requirements, components, and complete vehicles through application of engineering principles, simulations, and physical testing with minimal supervision. Creating and managing schedules of individual work to ensure deadlines are met, communicating resource needs with supervisor, and effectively utilizing contractor resources with minimal supervision. Generating basic ideas that contribute to the evolution of new technologies. Supporting market quality themes. Utilizing problem-solving methods to investigate root causes and advance and implement countermeasure specs as necessary.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience with data acquisition, hands-on experience maintaining and repairing vehicles, and experience riding Power Sports products.
You will also have experience preferably in the Power Sports industry, capable data acquisition and laboratory skills, analytical, problem-solving, judgement, decision-making, and prioritization capabilities, competent in written and oral communication, and strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
