Description
Phillips Commercial division is looking for a Field Service Engineer to deliver imperative maintenance to CNC machinery in Alabama. This role is vital to our customers, ensuring their operations can continue to flow.
In this role, you will be equipped with a van, full set of necessary tools, and a Haas certification to facilitate installation of equipment, investigate, and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment, and eliminate future operational or service difficulties.
Responsibilities:
- Install new or modified equipment at the customer's facility and ensure full functionality according to specifications.
- Analyze, review, and inspect findings to determine the source of problems, and recommend repair, replacement, or other corrective actions.
- Coordinate problem resolution with factory or Phillips inside service support to expedite repairs.
- Provide on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Update and complete current incomplete service reports to reflect accurately and completely the work performed.
- Provide feedback to the factory to help update and make changes to the service procedure used in troubleshooting and completing repairs to the machine in the field.
- Provide a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.
- Conduct training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrate skills to trainees, including both team members and customers.

Requirements:
- Experience with maintenance on CNC machines.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel on the road up to 80% of the week with possible overnight stays between Monday - Friday.
- A high mechanical aptitude with some electrical knowledge.
- Good communication skills and ability to deal with customers professionally.
- Ability to keep track of expenses and manage paperwork relating to maintenance completed.
