Director, Manufacturing Maintenance

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.

You will build and lead Anduril's central maintenance function and Center of Excellence from the ground up, defining the standards, policies, and best practices that every site will run on.

Responsibilities:

• Build and lead a team of maintenance professionals spanning administrative, tactical, and strategic roles.
• Partner with site-specific maintenance leaders, providing oversight, mentorship, and a consistent operating model across locations.
• Design and deploy systems for work order management, preventative maintenance, equipment selection, and asset tracking.
• Support the launch of new and Greenfield facilities and lead maintenance for automation initiatives.
• Own documentation, calibration, and upkeep of tooling and equipment across the network.
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes, reliability, and performance management.
• Work shoulder-to-shoulder with manufacturing, controls engineering, and automation teams,and roll up your sleeves on the shop floor when it counts.

Requirements:

• 10–15 years of maintenance experience, ideally in manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated experience building maintenance standards and systems from scratch.
• Hands-on experience with OEMs, automated equipment, and standing up Greenfield or early-stage manufacturing facilities.
• Background in automotive, aerospace, or heavy industry.
• Skilled-trades background or engineering experience paired with a hands-on approach.
• Proven ability to operate at both the strategic and shop-floor levels.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Working knowledge of tooling, calibration, and work order systems.
• Track record managing multiple sites and building scalable maintenance frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience setting up or managing maintenance for automation-heavy facilities.
• 3–5 years in a startup or fast-growing company environment.
