At Komodo Health, our mission is to reduce the global burden of disease through smarter use of data.
This role is critical to designing and implementing data processing and analysis programming pipelines for Life Science/HEOR/RWE research studies utilizing the Komodo Healthcare Map.
Key accomplishments in the first 12 months:
- Architect end-to-end programming pipelines for large-scale healthcare data extraction, transformation, and validation using SQL
- Lead implementation of analytical plans featuring complex statistical modeling in R
- Maintain high-quality standards through documentation, best coding practices, and version control with Git
- Produce publication-ready deliverables meeting industry standards
- Present results to cross-functional stakeholders and incorporate feedback
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute observational research studies
- Develop SQL data pipelines and R-based statistical analyses
- Validate analysis work, troubleshoot issues, and iterate on analytic approaches
- Support internal tool development and contribute to publications
Requirements:
- MS in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of industry experience with SQL pipelines for large-scale databases
- Proficiency in R, Python, or SAS for statistical programming
- Experience with Git version control and command-line workflows
- Hands-on experience with administrative claims, EHR, or equivalent RWD
- Familiarity with healthcare data models and US medical coding systems
- Experience collaborating with epidemiologists/SMEs to execute research studies
- Proven ability to implement statistical analysis
- Adaptability to learn new tools and methods in fast-paced environments
Nice to have:
- Advanced SQL skills
- Experience with advanced observational study designs
- Extensive HEOR/RWE expertise
- Experience with health economic modeling
- Advanced statistical modeling experience
- Contributions to peer-reviewed publications
- Exposure to RESTful APIs, R package development, or Shiny apps
The pay range for this role is: San Francisco Bay Area and New York City: $147,000-$170,000 USD All Other US Locations: $128,000-$160,000 USD
