Software Development Manager, Payments

We're seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead our Payments team, responsible for designing, building, and operating full-stack web applications that process millions of transactions daily. As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will own real technical problems, make hands-on architectural decisions, and partner cross-functionally with product, finance, and compliance teams to shape what we build and why.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading a team of engineers to design, build, and operate full-stack web applications
• Owning your team's delivery end-to-end: roadmap planning, execution, and operational excellence
• Growing senior engineers in their careers: coaching, challenging, and creating opportunities for promotion
• Making hands-on architectural decisions: participating in design reviews, weighing tradeoffs on vendor integrations, system resilience, and data accuracy
• Partnering cross-functionally with product, finance, and compliance teams

Requirements include:

• 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager leading teams of 5+
• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Experience with web services, cloud infrastructure, and system design
• Track record of hiring, retaining, and growing engineering talent
• Experience operating consumer-facing web applications with high reliability requirements
• Experience using Agile methodologies to deliver iteratively

Bonus points for experience with payment systems, financial infrastructure, or e-commerce platforms, as well as familiarity with Go, React, or AWS services.
