Description
Okta is seeking a highly experienced Director of Stock Administration to report to the Sr. Director of Stock Administration. This role will be responsible for fully understanding and managing end-to-end administration of the Company's equity plans, including equity grants, restricted stock units, performance stock units, option exercises, ESPP administration, and special projects for our Global Equity Plans.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of Okta's global equity compensation plans and coordinating with cross-functional partners to ensure accurate processing, reporting, and disclosure of employee stock transactions.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage international compliance
- Partner with other functional leads to develop processes ensuring accuracy of equity data
- Ensure regulatory compliance for Section 16 executive and Board members
- Manage reporting, reviewing, and tracking of 10b5-1 trading plans
- Lead and assist with ad-hoc projects
- Create stock reports as requested
- Conduct various stock analysis, modeling, and testing
- Ensure equity compensation is administered following plan terms and conditions
- Manage quarterly calendar of stock administration activities
- Implement educational sessions for global employee base
- Provide superior service to employees, management, and others
- Assist efforts to improve stock administration function
- Lead system improvement and implementation as needed
- Assist with equity program communication and employee education
- Participate in conversion and assumption of equity awards as required with M&A
- Process or support bi-annual ESPP purchases and quarterly RSU releases
- Participate in preparation of annual proxy filing
Requirements:
- CEP designation preferred or willing to complete within 18 months
- Minimum of 9 years of stock administration experience
- Outstanding analytical, communication, and organisational skills
- Excellent business judgement, strategic thinking, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy
- Ability to inspire action and coordinate simultaneous initiatives
- Intellectually curious with aptitude for creative problem-solving and analysis
- Must be a dependable teammate, ready to collaborate with multiple cross-functional partners
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, efficiently prioritise tasks, and adhere to critical deadlines
- Affinity for customer service, demonstrating excellent oral and written communication skills
- Confident working with various levels of management and handling highly confidential data
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance matters related to equity programs and taxation
- Advanced Excel user
- Experience with EEO
The annual base salary range for this position is between $184,000-$253,000 USD.
