Senior Accountant, Content Accounting

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Content Accounting team at Twitch. As a Senior Accountant, you will be involved at every step of the process from contract ideation through to final payout, providing support for negotiation, drafting technical accounting memos, preparing cost and payout calculations, executing month-end close activities, facilitating payment runs, and delivering reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the completeness of contractual records, review contract terms and document the application of our accounting policies
• Support month-end close including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and fluctuation narratives for content costs
• Ensure payouts are processed by obtaining payment support, ensuring tax compliance, responding to inquiries, and uploading to the accounting system
• Utilize state of the art GenAI tools to develop, operate and manage agentic workflows to optimize core processes
• Build relationships with cross-functional business and support stakeholders
• Drive process improvements within your scope and contribute to transformation projects
• Take on ad-hoc requests and own projects from start to finish on top of your core remit

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree with a major or emphasis in Accounting or a related finance field
• 3+ years of accounting experience at a quickly evolving company or public accounting firm
• Experience with contract reviews (revenue, leases, or other complex documents)
• Strong aptitude for quickly mastering new systems, tools, and emerging technologies
• Proficiency building in Excel / Google Sheets and familiarity with data tools such as SQL
• Ability to recognize and implement process improvements and build scalable solutions with GenAI in mind
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to distill complex analysis into actionable insights for stakeholders and leadership
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of successful business partnership
