Equipment Design Senior Engineer

We are seeking a qualified Equipment Design Senior Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Company. As part of a multi-discipline team, you will introduce and implement equipment required for new model introduction into Honda facilities. You will leverage 3D CAD software and simulation tools to identify key change points and summarize them into a specification that fixes design requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop optimal machine concepts for process characteristic changes using fundamentally sound engineering principles.
• Provide technical support for equipment/process and support Project Leadership function.
• Collaborate with design teams and plant members to achieve required quality, cost, and safety criteria.
• Conduct detailed process studies of new model car parts to understand machine capability.
• Create and maintain critical path schedules to maintain overall project milestones.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD systems and software.
• Background in automated equipment development.
• Excellent technical communication skills (written and oral).
