We are looking for a Senior Power BI Engineer with database integration experience to join our team. As a Senior Power BI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing business applications, performing impact analysis of application changes, and estimating Rough Order of Magnitude for the level of effort/cost of new application functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Is responsible for the conceptual design of business applications
- Performs impact analysis of application changes across various components, holding an end-to-end view of the system
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards
- Day-to-day, be responsible for creating and maintain Power BI reports, Dashboards, data models, maintaining data integrity, automated reconciliations, monitoring of data loads, roles & authorization management, using tools like Power BI Desktop, DAX Studio, and Power Query
- Specifies / Recommends Integration and Parallel testing criteria
- Understands customers’ processes and products and how they fit within the goals of the business unit
- Reviews and validates the detailed technical design for business applications provided by the supplier to ensure alignment with business requirements
- Validates suppliers estimates
- Estimates Rough Order of Magnitude for the level of effort/cost of new application functionality
- Performs quality review checks on project deliverables
- Acts as liaison between Business and IT, as assigned
- Supports users in building Business Case, including cost / benefit analysis, risk assessment, project scope, and development of a high level plan
- Supports the implementation activities, troubleshooting system environmental issues, training as required
Technical & Business Skills:
- 3+ years of experience configuring PowerBI
- Experience doing Data Integration within PowerBI
- Experience with DAX and SQL Server
- Experience working with SAP within PowerBI
