At AstraZeneca, we're looking for a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist to join our R&I Primary Care Team in Austin, Texas. As a key member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives.
As a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist, you'll be responsible for developing superior product and disease state knowledge, educating and engaging healthcare professionals in dialogue about clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles. You'll also function independently with sales proficiency to drive sales performance and ensure sales forecasts and assigned budgets meet or exceed therapeutic and territory expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of market, demographic, and managed care information relative to your assigned sales territory
- Partnering with your District Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director to develop a local strategy and business plan to generate recognizable increases of sales in your territory
- Providing special education to healthcare providers through appropriate programs that fall within AstraZeneca's ethical guidelines
- Working with Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists around common objectives to coordinate selling efforts
To be successful in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's degree, a driver's license, and a safe driving record. You'll also need 0-2+ years of sales experience, as well as knowledge of the medical, healthcare or pharmacy industry and skills in clinical, preferably within Respiratory therapeutic areas.
