Ford's Electric Vehicles, Digital and Design (EVDD) team is leading the company's vision of a fully electric transportation future. The Over-the-Air Technical Test Management (OTA TTM) Engineer is responsible for the operational coordination, tracking, and enablement of OTA V&V test program activities.
Responsibilities
The OTA TTM Engineer ensures Operational Support Readiness for different testing teams, acting as a central point of contact to remove technical blockers and ensure that Delivery, Content, and Conformance testing are aligned with the software release cadence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Test Planning & Deliverable Tracking: Support the development and management of a consolidated plan for OTA testing. Monitor and track the execution of deliverables to ensure they meet the specific requirements of each software release cycle.
- Operational Support Readiness: Provide End-to-End (E2E) support to V&V Test Execution teams, Electronic Control Unit (ECU) Owners, and Developers. Ensure all necessary environments and technical prerequisites are ready for testing.
- Roadblock Resolution & Escalation: Identify, document, and proactively resolve operational issues that impact testing progress. Escalate critical blockers to the OTA TTM Lead to ensure timely resolution and minimize impact on the release schedule.
- Reporting & Dashboard Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date data within the Application Lifecycle Management toolchain (Jira/Confluence). Assist in creating aggregated status reports and visual dashboards to provide visibility on test progress to the TTM Lead and higher management.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Facilitate and participate in technical forums to align OTA test strategies with Feature Owners, Vehicle Program teams, SW Developers, Design & Release Engineers (D&Rs). Ensure that all stakeholders are informed of testing needs and timelines.
- Process Execution & Improvement: Execute standardized TTM processes for monitoring and reporting. Contribute to the creation of standard templates and documentation to optimize deliverable tracking and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in software testing, Quality Assurance (QA).
- Basic knowledge and hands-on experience in OTA Testing.
- Proficiency in Jira and Confluence (Atlassian toolchain) for project management.
- Experience creating and maintaining data visualizations and dashboards in Power BI.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with vehicle network architectures (CAN, Ethernet) and communication protocols.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret test results and logs.
- Professional English/Spanish proficiency (written and verbal) for collaboration with global teams.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with Ford OTA workflows (6 Eyes, New Model Launch, Final Sign Off, others).
- Experience in a software release management environment.
- Knowledge of automation tools or basic scripting (Python/SQL) for data collection.

The salary range for this position is $74,300 - $135,000.
