Senior Software Engineer, DevProd (Infrastructure Observability)

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Infrastructure Team, focusing on Observability. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle, formulate feature designs, and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Build: Lead the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle, formulate feature designs, review with stakeholders, iterate to incorporate feedback, and drive consensus.
• Own: Set a high bar for technical excellence, design and build multi-component, distributed systems that operate at scale, investigate issues, and understand performance and reliability implications.
• Learn: Develop expert-level knowledge of architecture and services, investigate ways to leverage Temporal's software, and understand the needs of internal developers and external customers.
• Collaborate: Participate in design reviews, share design principles, and contribute to the design of other features.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to develop horizontally scalable, resilient, and high-performance distributed systems.
• Experience designing, implementing, deploying, and supporting large-scale observability and/or high-throughput data streaming/processing pipelines.
• Expert in one or more high-level programming languages, preferably Go.
• Expert-level Kubernetes skills.
• Expert-level query development skills, preferably SQL.
• Hands-on experience with one or more cloud providers, preferably AWS or GCP.
