Fraud Ops Expert

We're building the bank of The Free, and protecting users and resolving fraud reliably is core to our mission. We're transforming Fraud Ops from a reactive function into an AI-led capability that gets faster, smarter, and more accurate with every case. That transformation needs one person to own it end-to-end.

As our Fraud Ops Expert, you'll own the Fraud Operations process end-to-end, from individual case to systemic fix to AI-led transformation.

Responsibilities:

• Own every Fraud Investigation and escalation yourself: you live in the process, handle the hard cases, and make sure no user falls through the cracks.
• Identify failure patterns, own the structural fixes, and drive AI-led automation that makes fraud ops scale through intelligence rather than headcount.
• Hold full KPI accountability for speed, accuracy, and user satisfaction, you distinguish structural design flaws from noise, and you don't stop until the fix is permanent.

Requirements:

• You have deep knowledge of Fraud Operations, investigation methodologies, and the regulatory landscape that governs them.
• You have hands-on experience handling complex fraud cases and escalations - you execute, not just oversee.
• You know how to diagnose operational problems with data and drive permanent structural fixes, not workarounds.
• You can design and implement AI-led workflows - you build processes with AI at the core and can own an automation roadmap end-to-end.
• You're an excellent communicator and speak English fluently - stakeholders and users always know where things stand.
• We'd love if you have experience in fintech or another high-growth, regulated environment.
