Staff Security Field Engineer

The Security Field Engineering team at Databricks helps data teams solve complex problems by empowering customers to understand the security of the Databricks platform and addressing questions during security reviews.

As a Staff Security Field Engineer, you will report to the Head of Security Field Engineering and work with customers to answer questions, train other team members, build customer-facing content, and possibly write code.

Key responsibilities include:

• Meeting with customers to answer questions and address concerns
• Training other Databricks team members
• Building customer-facing content such as slide decks and white papers
• Identifying customer pain points and working with product management to improve the product and messaging
• Contributing to internal-facing services and automation

Requirements:

• 6+ years of technical pre-sales or post-sales experience
• Strong understanding of complex security principles and architectures
• Experience in multiple security domains such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, network and endpoint security, web applications, vulnerability management, identity management, and SIEM
• Scripting or programming experience
• Understanding of the Databricks platform is a strong plus

The pay range for this role is:

• Zone 1: $194,800 - $267,850 USD
• Zone 2: $175,400 - $241,100 USD
• Zone 3: $165,600 - $227,700 USD
• Zone 4: $155,800 - $214,300 USD
