Senior Software Engineer II

As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will work with a team of software engineers to design, build, and deploy containerized and serverless applications on the cloud, supporting Razer's growing ecosystem of microservices, data platforms, and AI-driven services.

Job Responsibilities:

You will provide technical leadership in designing scalable, high-performance, secure, cost-efficient, and maintainable cloud-native systems that support both current and future business needs. Your responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, testing, and deploying microservice applications on AWS
• Building and maintaining scalable deployment platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies on AWS or GCP
• Developing, owning, and maintaining mission-critical, high-traffic Razer ID API microservices
• Utilizing containerization and Kubernetes to support scalable and reproducible deployments in a cloud environment
• Collaborating with engineering, security, product, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure the architecture supports functional and regulatory requirements
• Establishing engineering best practices, architectural standards, and code review processes
• Mentoring junior engineers and interns, fostering technical growth and engineering excellence within the team
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Staying current with emerging technologies in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, AI/ML, and web architecture
• Participating in production support and providing technical expertise for critical issues

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 5+ years of experience in an IT-related role, including at least 3 years of professional software engineering experience
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Golang, PHP, or equivalent backend technologies
• Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS, with experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) being an advantage
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, particularly multi-region deployments
• Proficient in cloud-native technologies, including containers (Docker), Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, with familiarity with gRPC, MySQL/PostgreSQL, and Redis being an advantage
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a passion for teamwork
• Familiarity with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC)
• Strong understanding of software development principles such as Agile and SCRUM
