Job Overview

The Senior Procurement Engineer, Supply Chain drives strategic supply network development and cost management for Anduril's product hardware across their lifecycles.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct supplier selection for specific products, leveraging the approved supplier list.
  • Collaborate with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through activities such as concept scoping, feature trade-off tables, should-cost models, joint design development, and simulation of mechanical and electronics designs.
  • Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp up production internally and with suppliers.
  • Manage CAPEX throughout New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Optimize supply network lead time and flexibility through value-stream mapping.
  • Complete BOM risk assessments, including alternate component sourcing.
  • Ensure component qualifications are completed ahead of production.
  • Reduce complexity through commonality optimization and component/supplier rationalization.
  • Lead cost engineering activities to minimize total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle.
  • Manage ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs and cost inflation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
  • Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time and relocate to Huntsville, AL if needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or advanced technical degree.
  • Experience in design and development of electronics and/or mechanical devices, advanced sourcing activities, supplier development, and early supplier engagement.
  • Background in a highly regulated environment, preferably energetics and solid rocket motor (SRM) production.
  • Familiarity with high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment and fast-paced start-up environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary range: $126,000-$167,000 USD per year.
