Description
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Logitech, you will be a key guardian of our product lifecycle. You are responsible for ensuring the technical integrity and manufacturing excellence of our products after they have launched. You will tackle complex engineering challenges, drive continuous improvement, and work closely with cross-functional teams and JDM/OEM partners in the APAC region to maintain the high standards Logitech is known for.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading the evaluation and implementation of design changes for mass-produced products to improve reliability, address component obsolescence, or reduce costs.
- Driving deep-dive investigations into field failures and manufacturing yield issues. Using data-driven approaches to implement robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Partnering with suppliers and JDM partners to optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality mechanical parts (plastic injection, metal stamping, etc.).
- Identifying and executing Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) opportunities to optimize product cost without compromising the user experience.
- Acting as the mechanical lead in sustaining activities, collaborating with Quality, Procurement, EE, and Firmware teams to resolve multi-disciplinary issues.
- Maintaining and updating 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM) throughout the product lifecycle.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in design and development of consumer electronics products. You should also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
