Description
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, accounting, and reporting activities related to the product development organization's engineering for vehicle programs and Ford Performance.
In this position, you will:
Support monthly accounting for engineering business activities Provide monthly and quarterly variance analysis, identifying key trends and drivers impacting financial performance Develop and maintain physicals-based financial forecasts for one or more engineering functional organizations, incorporating input from various key stakeholders Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports Present financial results to the organizational leadership teams, providing insights and recommendations Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to key stakeholders Monitor and control engineering spending against budget, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures Review and approve capital project requests, purchase requisitions, and other spending requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the Product Development organization Provide financial and business support to engineering teams by closely collaborating with key stakeholders, including Business Offices, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing. Collaborate to develop business cases and optimize how work is done Partner with supply chain and transformation teams to help negotiate favorable contracts with external vendors Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of engineering financial management Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and other relevant regulations Develop and maintain documentation of key financial processes
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience with job responsibilities focused on finance and accounting and operations support. You will also have extensive skill with Excel and other MS Office tools, a strong understanding of product development financial management principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication and presentation skills.
