Description
As a Constraints Management Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring production targets and program timelines are achieved by proactively identifying, analyzing, and mitigating supply base constraints. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive resolution strategies, improve processes, and support operational excellence across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyse constraints impacting launch timelines, free demand, and current production plans.
- Develop expertise in Scheduling, Analysis, and Controls (SAC) and related systems.
- Partner with Vehicle Line teams, Plant personnel, Purchasing, PLM, PD, OpPlan, CVS analysts, FCSD, and others to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and report performance through weekly metrics, tracking ICA/PCA identification and timing by vehicle line; analysing trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead and support best practices in constraint management across programmes.
- Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership through GCAC and weekly NA Constraints meetings.
- Proactively identify supplier capacity risks using tools such as Ascent and Pega workflow management.
- Conduct PPC audits/reviews to ensure supplier supportability for production plans.
- Support capacity study follow-ups and assist in preparing suppliers for volume increases (part uplifts).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MP&L experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of A&OP, S&OP, and S&OE processes.
- Experience with GCP, SAC, Pega, Ascent, and CMMS systems.
- Understanding of product definition and constraint management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence and drive consensus.
- Proven project management skills, including timing and risk mitigation.
- Ability to align work to broader programme objectives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptable, self-starter in a fast-paced environment.
