Staff Mechanical Design Engineer

Join Ford Motor Company's agile team as a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer, playing a key role in outlining early engineering feasibility and specifying, developing, analyzing, and validating systems and electronic assemblies for the next generation of electric vehicles.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Ford's Design Studio, Marketing, Vehicle Engineering, and Operations teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop product layouts and technology concepts, particularly in electronics systems
• Create early prototypes and new technologies leading into scalable mass production
• Collaborate with teams to fully realize ideas that will become new product differentiators

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on industry experience
• 4+ years of hands-on, detailed product design experience
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (any modeling package)
• Basic GD&T knowledge and experience releasing 2D drawings
