Specialist Digitalisation Know-How Transfer - Chemical Raw Materials

We are seeking a Specialist Digitalisation Know-How Transfer - Chemical Raw Materials to join our team in Mannheim, Germany.

As a Specialist Digitalisation Know-How Transfer - Chemical Raw Materials, you will actively contribute to the design and optimisation of digital processes within the know-how transfer framework. Your primary focus will be on utilising and further developing digital tools such as Power BI and SAP Fiori/S4HANA to enhance efficiency, transparency, and traceability of our master data and internal processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying digitalisation potential and promoting a modern, data-driven working style in a global context
• Consolidating, harmonising, and critically evaluating data from various sources to derive reliable decision-making foundations
• Identifying, analysing, and clarifying data inconsistencies in close coordination with relevant interfaces
• Independently reviewing, assessing, and approving raw material requests from subsidiaries within the global raw material introduction process, considering chemical requirements and global standards
• Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, such as the global R&D community, Global Procurement, and Global Master Data Management
• Conducting structured research and expert evaluations of raw materials, including their chemical composition, properties, and applications, using internal and external data sources
• Recording, validating, and coordinating raw material data for calculating the Product Carbon Footprint in close collaboration with Global Sustainability

To excel in this role, you should have:

• A successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Chemistry, or a related field
• High affinity for digitalisation with a claim to actively optimise and make processes more efficient
• Secure use of Excel and Power BI, as well as application experience with SAP, preferably in Fiori and S/4HANA environments, particularly in the context of raw material data
• Experience in handling heterogeneous data sources and consolidating complex data sets, as well as structuring, evaluating, and deriving comprehensible decisions
• Experience in a laboratory or R&D environment, ideally as a chemist or in comparable roles in EHS/Product Safety; profound understanding of chemical raw materials
• Proactive, self-initiating, structured, and meticulous working style
• Analytical thinking combined with high data affinity, strong quality awareness, and pronounced attention to detail
• Communication strength and persuasiveness across different hierarchy levels, stakeholders, and cultures, with experience in network/matrix organisations desirable
• Very good German and English language skills in writing and speaking
