Description
Anduril Industries is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager, Electrical (Cables/Harness) to secure critical components, materials, and services that power our products. The successful candidate will develop and execute commodity strategies for cables/harness, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience.
The role will be responsible for delivering quality parts at the right cost, managing business relationships with external Contract Manufacturers, and leading RFI/RFQ/RFP and strategic sourcing processes. The successful candidate will partner with the Engineering team and Contract Manufacturers to influence technical design specs and customise product and manufacturing requirements.
Key responsibilities will include: Developing and executing commodity strategies for cables/harness Managing end-to-end delivery of quality parts at the right cost Acting as the sourcing expert for cables/harness manufacturing Leading RFI/RFQ/RFP and strategic sourcing processes Managing business relationships with external Contract Manufacturers Partnering with the Engineering team and Contract Manufacturers to influence technical design specs and customise product and manufacturing requirements Performing detailed analysis of quote submissions based on cost breakdown from data Working closely with cross-functional teams to support prototype requirements, execute against build milestones, and lead sourcing activities Influencing CM's manufacturing processes and CapEx and technology decisions Negotiating key agreements with suppliers to establish best-in-class pricing, quality, flexibility, delivery, payment, warranty, and service terms Collaborating internally, negotiating the right trade-offs, soliciting cooperation, and resolving problems, and advancing new supplier or product offerings Providing strong technical direction within the specific commodities, by evaluating and guiding product strategy throughout the product lifecycle Managing and leading the operations effort of developing new and adaptations of existing technologies for Anduril Developing and executing commercial agreements to properly reflect the expectations of projects, which include fixed and variable costs, lead-times, schedules, manufacturing capacities, etc Conducting regular technology reviews to Executive staff and management Owning the supplier performance management of their respective commodities, which includes key delivery, quality, cost, and innovation metrics Acting as the primary escalation for their respective commodity
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field, and 3+ years of experience in supply chain commodity management of cables/harness/connectors/capacitors manufacturing, and/or sourcing engineering.
