AI Engineer - FDE (Forward Deployed Engineer)

The AI Forward Deployed Engineering (AI FDE) team at Databricks delivers professional services engagements to help customers build and productionize AI applications.

You will develop cutting-edge GenAI solutions, incorporate the latest techniques from Mosaic AI research, own production rollouts of GenAI applications, serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, present at conferences, and collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams.

Requirements:

• Experience building GenAI applications with tools like HuggingFace, LangChain, and DSPy
• Expertise in deploying production-grade GenAI applications
• Extensive hands-on industry data science experience with tools like pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch
• Experience building production-grade machine learning deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent practical experience
• Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Passion for collaboration, life-long learning, and driving business value through AI

Preferred skills:

• Experience using the Databricks Intelligence Platform and Apache Spark
• Fluency in English and Mandarin
