Strategic Sourcing Manager, Electrical

Job Overview

The Strategic Sourcing Manager, Electrical is a domain expert for cables and harnesses commodities at Anduril Industries. This role focuses on securing critical components, materials, and services that power the company's products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commodity strategies for cables and harnesses, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience.
• Have end-to-end responsibility for delivering quality parts on time and at the right cost.
• Act as the sourcing expert for cables and harnesses manufacturing.
• Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP and strategic sourcing processes for cables and harnesses.
• Manage business relationships with external Contract Manufacturing, focusing on continuity of supply, risk management, cost negotiations, and new product introduction.
• Collaborate with the Engineering team and Contract Manufacturers to influence technical design specifications and customize product and manufacturing requirements.
• Perform detailed analysis of quote submissions based on cost breakdowns and make data-driven decisions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support prototype requirements, execute against build milestones, and lead sourcing activities.
• Influence Contract Manufacturers' manufacturing processes, CapEx, and technology decisions.
• Negotiate key agreements with suppliers to establish best-in-class pricing, quality, flexibility, delivery, payment, warranty, and service terms.
• Collaborate internally, negotiate tradeoffs, solicit cooperation, resolve problems, and advance new supplier or product offerings.
• Provide strong technical direction within specific commodities, evaluating and guiding product strategy throughout the product lifecycle.
• Manage and lead operations efforts for developing new and adapting existing technologies for Anduril.
• Develop and execute commercial agreements reflecting project expectations.
• Conduct regular technology reviews with executive staff and management.
• Own supplier performance management for respective commodities.
• Act as the primary escalation for respective commodities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in supply chain commodity management of cables, harnesses, connectors, or capacitors manufacturing, and/or sourcing engineering.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA if not already local.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Previous experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high tech, or a related industry.
• Well-versed in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis.
• Strategic thinker with experience in creating commodities strategy/roadmap with key engineering stakeholders.
• Proven leadership in driving and influencing other teams.
• Fluent in other cross-functional areas to fill gaps and remove roadblocks.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
