EVSE Design and Release Engineer

At Ford Motor Company, we're seeking a talented EVSE Design and Release Engineer to join our team. As an EVSE Design and Release Engineer, you will lead the design, release, packaging, and certification of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) for future model battery electric vehicle (BEV) programs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the development of high-quality EVSE that meets regulatory requirements and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the design, release, packaging, and certification of EVSE for future model BEV programs
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the development of high-quality EVSE
• Coordinating features and deliverables with vehicle and customer experience teams
• Managing Component Design Specifications (CDS) and Design Change Requests (DCR)
• Participating in Design Reviews and conducting Worst-Case Circuit Analysis

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5 years of progressive experience in EVSE design and release
• Experience with electrical component design and release for electrical vehicle charging equipment
• Knowledge of electrical code and electrical standards as they apply to electrical vehicle charging equipment and home installations
• Familiarity with mode 2 charging devices, including portable charge cords, charging stations, and EVSE accessories and adapters
• Strong understanding of analog circuit design, analysis, and operation for both power and logic
• Experience with worst-case circuit analysis (WCCA) to ensure robust and safe charging equipment design
• Excellent communication and project management skills
