Description
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Microsoft Ads team, which is responsible for developing world-class web UI experiences for our demand management platform and enabling new ads products for advertisers. You will work closely with product managers, UX designers, and partner teams to design and develop features from concept to release and live operations. You will also leverage cutting-edge AI technologies and engineering productivity tools to modernize the product development lifecycle, improve developer velocity, and deliver customer value faster.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with PMs, UX designers, and partner teams to design and develop features from concept to release and live operations.
- Quality and result-driven in project execution.
- Build metrics and monitor impact of features.
- Drive AI-powered product innovation by integrating intelligent capabilities into customer experiences and leveraging AI-assisted development practices to improve engineering efficiency and product quality.
- Be open and willing to learn new technology and take challenges.
- Help the team forge a sound engineering culture with a growth mindset.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Solid CS fundamentals, solid inclination for architecting at scale.
- Excellent technical design, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Proficient in data-driven decision-making, ability to build metrics to analyze business impact.
- Outstanding coding experience with C#, JavaScript, HTML, and/or CSS.
- Experience with ReactJS and modern front-end development environment is highly desirable.
- Experience with data analysis and building metrics to measure business impact.
- Experience leveraging AI-powered development tools and modern engineering practices to improve developer productivity, accelerate product development, reduce time-to-market, and enhance software quality throughout the product development lifecycle.
Salary: The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 – $234,700 per year. For specific work locations within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is USD $160,200 – $261,000 per year.
