Description
We're looking for a Product Development Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll support the development and maintenance of new and existing electronic reliability requirements. You'll provide guidance on the application of these requirements, review and approve test plans for electronic module environmental testing, and review and approve test results.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the development and maintenance of new and existing electronic reliability requirements
- Providing guidance on the application of these requirements
- Reviewing and approving test plans for electronic module environmental testing
- Reviewing and approving test results and supporting investigation of non-compliances
- Supporting issue investigation and resolution for electronic module test and reliability concerns for Ford internal teams and all tiers of suppliers to Ford Motor Company
You'll also have the opportunity to act as a subject matter expert in the areas of environmental testing for electronic modules, solder processes for manufacturing, conformal coating and nano coating, and reliability physics analysis.
To be successful in this role, you'll need a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent degree, 5 years minimum experience in electronic reliability or environmental testing, and 3 years minimum experience with solder processes for manufacturing. Experience with electronic reliability simulation, such as ANSYS Sherlock, and the application of conformal and nano coatings is highly desirable.
