Description
This is a Castrol requisition and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence ahead of the Castrol divestment later in 2026. From the point of the divestment, you will be employed fully by Castrol and no longer be a bp employee.
The purpose of this role is to ensure the integrity of the manufacturing process in the 3P sites to produce finished goods that meet QC specifications and support product performance and process improvements. You will resolve product quality and manufacturing issues, and ensure that new or modified product formulas are approved and implemented at the facilities using the proper process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing Streamline and Fusion’s system and supporting processes
- Supporting Regional Technology, TD; PD and 3P Operations teams to ensure product quality and integrity
- Coordinating hand blends through 3P Labs
- Handling raw material and finished product revalidation requests
- Maintaining regional and local systems accuracy
- Participating in records and closure of customer complaints
- Addressing and monitoring waiver processes
- Supporting MOC (Management of Change) for lab, process instrumentation and blending and packaging operations
- Applying methods and techniques to find solutions to problems
- Driving efficiency in cost and cash
- Acting as an integration point for the related Plant Lab team
- Training others in the application of methods and procedures
- Working with operations and quality departments to complete RCAs and drive improvement plans
- Monitoring critical parameter trends
- Supporting trouble shooting quality issues
- Continuously improving current processes
- Working as 3P/Quality tag for all processes, new SKUs launching and projects
- Participating in internal/external audits processes
- Supporting the 3P/Q lead in Quality & Compliance Incident reports
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in an industrial environment
- Proven experience with blending / fluid handling / mixing / packaging/quality/ laboratory /control testing equipment and quality management systems
- Experience in lubricant industry is a plus
- New product formulation, development, scale-up and commercialization process knowledge and experience
- Strong product technical knowledge
- Experience handling quality deviations, non-conformances, RCA and CAPA processes
- Exposure to quality management systems (QMS) and compliance standards
- Experience in leading internal, external, or supplier audits
- Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural environments
- Background in risk assessment, waiver evaluation, and technical decision support
