The Manufacturing Team is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware, including static equipment, moving ground equipment, and flight vehicles.
As a Project Manager, Manufacturing (Generalist), you will be assigned to a wide range of projects across manufacturing engineering, manufacturing operations, and manufacturing development, and you will need to adapt quickly as priorities shift.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution: Define project scope, create schedules, and manage all phases from conception to completion across a shifting mix of manufacturing and production projects.
- Develop and manage project costs, and ensure adequate staffing and tools are available.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing engineering, manufacturing operations, design engineering, industrial engineering, business lines, and facilities.
- Lead initiatives across Anduril sites to solve ongoing production issues, set up new processes that will help harmonize production locally and globally.
- Translate technical discussions with engineers into concrete action items, owners, and timelines from a project management perspective.
Program Oversight and Support:
- Support program managers and manufacturing leadership in the preparation and management of critical technical and business forums.
- Provide structure to ambiguity and help drive stakeholders toward decisions on tactical and strategic issues.
- Develop and execute strategies to drive business impact and outcomes, and own large parts of end-to-end manufacturing KPI tracking to enhance transparency and generate actionable reports.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Execute scrappy analyses on short timelines to get answers quickly, while also considering more scalable solutions that will make Anduril successful in the long term.
- Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in manufacturing processes.
- Facilitate data-driven decision-making by providing timely and accurate manufacturing information.
Systems and Processes Improvement:
- Develop an understanding of how our manufacturing systems (ERP, MRP, MES, PLM, etc.) function and how to leverage data from them to equip teams with insights and tools for tactical and strategic decisions.
- Analyze best practices across teams and develop ways to standardize and implement them across all teams.
- Assist in the documentation and standardization of business procedures and reporting protocols.
- Collaborate with the digital tools team to evaluate solutions that improve the efficiency of engineers in delivering simulations, capacity plans, and facility layouts.
- Support adoption tracking for new manufacturing standards across a distributed team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data science, business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on project or program management, data analysis, or process improvement.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and the ability to translate technical discussions into action items, schedules, and owners.
- Comfort adapting across a wide variety of project types and getting up to speed quickly on unfamiliar problems.
- Strong analytical aptitude, with the ability to intuitively think about problems in terms of numbers and data models.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to present complex data clearly to diverse audiences.
- A reliable self-starter , highly organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
