Description
In this challenging and fast-paced role, you will lead a team of problem solvers to reduce the overall cost of warranty for Ford Motor Company. You will focus on lowering the Cost Per Repair (CPR) for warranty claims and implementing design solutions for High Time in Service (HTIS) Engine and Thermal System issues.
Your responsibilities will include leading data and returned part analysis discussions to define and prioritize CPR and HTIS projects for the engineering team. You will also lead an engine teardown and testing facility, coach team members on techniques to rapidly execute lower CPR projects, and design and execute/coordinate analytical and physical testing to identify root cause, replicate quality issues, and validate fixes.
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and strong ability to build collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners. Proven people leader skills and familiarity with Ford’s Strategic Problem Solving tools are also essential.
As a supervisor, you will frequently present projects to senior management, interface regularly with quality, powerpack, and core engineers, and identify and document lessons learned for read across and read ahead prevent recurrence.
