Software Engineer, Internship - Defense Tech

Palantir builds the world's leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. As a Defense Tech Software Engineer Intern, you'll contribute high-quality code to Palantir's Gotham product, working on mission-critical products for the modern warfighter.

The Role: Software Engineers at Palantir build software at scale to transform how organisations around the world use data. You'll be paired with a mentor dedicated to your growth and success, and collaborate closely with technical and non-technical counterparts to understand customers' problems and build products that tackle them.

Core Responsibilities:

• Ownership: seeing projects through from beginning to end
• Collaboration: working internally with people from various backgrounds and partnering with business development teams
• Trust: trusting each other to handle time and priorities effectively

Technologies We Use:

• Varying languages, including Java and Go for backend and Typescript for frontend
• Open-source technologies like Cassandra, Spark, Elasticsearch, React, and Redux
• Industry-standard build tooling, including Gradle and GitHub

What We Require:

• Engineering background in fields like Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, and Physics
• Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and technical tools
• Active US Security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one
• Experience coding in programming languages like Java, C++, Python, JavaScript
• Planning to graduate in 2028
