Description

We are seeking a Program Leader - Powertrain Delivery to join our team in Sterling Heights, MI. The successful candidate will have a passion for excellence in Manufacturing, Problem Solving, and driving robustness into the APD/PTME Engineering factory.

The Program Leader - Powertrain Delivery will report to the APD/PTME Delivery team Program Manager and will be responsible for leading PTME launch teams through all phases of Manufacturing Program Delivery from the early cost study phase through rate of climb (ROC).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading new program teams to provide Program Engineering deliverables from Program Strategy through completion of Rate of Climb (ROC)
  • Working with all engineering groups within Powertrain Delivery (APD)/Manufacturing Engineering (PTME)/Battery Manufacturing Engineering (BME), as well as Manufacturing Strategy & Advanced Planning (MSAP), Ford Land, Industrial Engineering, Product Engineering, Supplier Technical Assistance, Powertrain Plants and Purchasing
  • Establishing and tracking timing of commodity team deliverables to meet program milestones
  • Ensuring weekly New Model program safety walks are conducted
  • Identifying and coordinating program resource requirements
  • Participating in new program studies with MSAP
  • Preparing Program Review, Executive Program Business Review (PBR), material and deliver PTME related content at these reviews
  • Attending Transmission/Engine/Axle Product Management Teams (TPMT/EPMT) meetings
  • Leading resolution of major manufacturing program issues
  • Developing and implementing standard detailed program timing management tool
  • Coordinating manufacturing input into program tracking tools
  • Driving the completion of all phases of MIDAS machine approvals
  • Incorporating continuous improvements utilizing PTME Continuous Improvement / Lessons Learned, Deviation and Decision Record Process
  • Traveling to Powertrain Manufacturing Plants will be required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a similar field (Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years of experience in a high-volume production or manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing Engineering with plant floor experience required
  • Project or Program Management / Coordination / Communication Experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong presentation skills with experience creating and delivering presentations
  • Experience supporting program launches, leading teams throughout launch phases

The salary range for this position is $115,500-$218,100.
