Sr. Solutions Architect - Public Sector (Federal Civilian)

As a Sr. Solutions Architect at Databricks, you will lead the growth of the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform in the public sector. You will work with customers, teammates, and product teams to identify use cases, develop architectures, and guide customers through implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks can solve their business problems
• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks
• Consult on big data architecture and implement proof of concepts for strategic customer projects
• Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications for customers
• Promote Databricks-inspired open-source projects across developer communities
• Travel to customers in your region

Requirements:

• 8+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems
• Comfortable programming in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R
• Experience supporting Public Sector clients
• Built solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Knowledge of Data Engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) and Data Warehousing (e.g., SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS)
• Degree in a quantitative discipline (desired)
• US Citizen
