Description
We are seeking an OTA Planning and Strategy Engineer to support Ford's mission to redefine vehicle ownership by managing the technical infrastructure that makes software updates possible. As an OTA Planning & Strategy Engineer, you will design and maintain complex Jira automation rules to streamline the intake of OTA software update requests, act as the primary administrator for the OTA team's Jira and Confluence environments, utilize advanced AI prompting to analyze vast amounts of vehicle software data, and utilize AI tools to draft standardized release notes, technical documentation, and internal status reports.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, and 3+ years of professional experience in Jira automation and maintenance, program coordination, technical project management, or software operations. Familiarity with vehicle software architectures or previous experience with Over-the-Air (OTA) update cycles is a plus.
In addition to the technical skills, the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical automation logic into clear processes for the broader product team.
