Manager, Web Engineering

Job Overview

We're seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the team building and running anthropic.com and claude.com, crucial web surfaces introducing Claude and Anthropic to the world.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a small, senior team of web engineers, focusing on full-stack development for marketing web surfaces.
• Own the technical roadmap for anthropic.com and claude.com, including CMS architecture, publishing workflow, performance, SEO, localization, and production design system.
• Lead launch engineering for model, product, and campaign releases, ensuring high-quality pages on tight timelines.
• Develop brand tooling layers for internal tools, integrations, and Claude-in-the-loop workflows.
• Collaborate with design, editorial, marketing, and product growth engineering to align web engineering work with business goals.

Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering, 5+ years managing engineers, preferably in a marketing, brand, or design engineering organization.
• Experience owning high-traffic marketing or brand web surfaces end-to-end.
• Strong frontend skills in TypeScript, React, modern CSS, and headless CMS.
• Preference for staying close to the code.
• Experience building tooling for non-engineers.
• Ability to ship high-quality pages under launch pressure.
• Comfortable operating between Design, Marketing, and Engineering.
• Deep interest in AI and its applications.

Nice to Have

• Head of Web Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Localization and multi-region web infrastructure experience.
• Background in design tools, productivity, or developer tools.
• Experience leading design systems or component library work.

Logistics

• Annual salary: $460,000 - $460,000 USD.
• Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Location-based hybrid policy: 25% office time.
• Visa sponsorship available.
