Description

We're looking for a Production Supervisor to join our team at the Windsor Engine Plant/Essex Engine Plant. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for coaching team members on Safety, Quality, and Productivity, optimizing production throughput, monitoring ANDON occurrences, and verifying the production line's safe and smooth operation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coaching team members on Safety, Quality, and Productivity to ensure objectives are met by adhering to standardized work.
  • Optimizing production throughput in alignment with budget and cost objectives.
  • Monitoring ANDON occurrences and serving as the initial responder for secondary support.
  • Verifying the production line's safe and smooth operation, and its output of quality parts, through Process Confirmation.
  • Supporting Kaizen initiatives and coaching problem resolution at the lowest possible level.
  • Meeting targets for First Time Through (FTT), inventory, cost, scrap, supply, and tooling expenses.
  • Building the capability of both Team Leaders and Team Members.
  • Creating a conducive work environment that enables teams to complete their assigned responsibilities and tasks.
  • Ensuring effective communication and recognition within the team.

Requirements include:

  • College Diploma or Skilled-Trade Certificate of Qualification (CoQ).
  • 2+ years' manufacturing supervisory experience.
  • Availability to work in shifts (morning/afternoon/evening) as required.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 2+ years' experience working with unionized workforce and understanding of CBA.
  • Experience in body shop, stamping, paint, subassembly, or machining preferred.
  • Safety and Quality experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and constraint management principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook).
  • Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining experience (specific to Power Take-Off).
  • Helium leak stand experience (specific to Power Take-Off).
  • Adept problem-solving and conflict management skills.
  • Effective organizational and administrative capabilities.
