Job Overview
You will lead Carta's Communications Team, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer. Your mission will be to connect founders, investors, and limited partners through world-class software, driving trust, visibility, and influence in the technology and private markets communities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic communications to elevate Carta's global market presence, working with PR agencies in the US, EU, and AMEA.
- Oversee PR agencies and speaking consultants to maximize impact, collaborating with EU and AMEA marketing teams and agencies.
- Craft compelling narratives positioning Carta as a category-defining innovator at the intersection of fintech, AI, and private markets.
- Manage internal communications with the People team, Office of the CMO, and other stakeholders.
- Lead integrated PR campaigns highlighting Carta's business momentum, working cross-functionally with various teams.
- Amplify strategic partnerships to expand Carta's influence, collaborating with the Corporate Development team and Alliances Marketing.
- Advance executive visibility through thought leadership, partnering with Carta's leadership team and outside speaker bureau.
- Position Carta as a trusted resource to media and influencers, cultivating strong relationships with business, finance, tech, and policy press.
- Foster collaboration and communications excellence across the company, working seamlessly with legal, finance, marketing, and product teams.
- Support crisis communications as needed, with agency support and the Legal team.
- Oversee and work cross-functionally with international marketing teams and PR agencies to ensure consistency of Carta's presence in market.
Requirements
- A strategic and analytical thinker who can distill complex technical and product concepts for a media audience.
- 8+ years of experience in B2B PR and Communications, with at least 3 years in-house.
- Good relationships with tech and business press, particularly in private equity and private credit.
- Ability to bring people along in planning and act as a team unifier in meeting goals.
- Comfort and agility in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience overseeing a public relations agency.
- Understanding of how sub-functions of marketing come together to create impact.
- A level of character that builds trust and exemplifies working collaboratively.
- BA required.
- SaaS experience.

- Minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range: $161,600 - $212,000 in San Francisco and New York
