Software Engineer, DevInfra

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our DevInfra team, which is responsible for building and maintaining the platform engineering capabilities of Mixpanel. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will partner with various teams to optimize their software development lifecycle for speed, safety, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with teams to build out their software development lifecycle
• Deploy AI tools like Claude Code to the entire engineering team
• Support systems that ingest over 1 trillion user-generated events monthly
• Manage cloud environment, including Terraform, cost management, networking, and security best practices
• Maintain GitHub Actions-based CI/CD pipelines and a robust GitHub-native delivery process
• Procure best-in-breed SaaS tooling for the rest of the engineering team
• Run the new engineer onboarding process

Requirements:

• 3+ years of industry experience
• Experience with at least one of: Go, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Production experience working with Kubernetes
• Production experience managing infrastructure in a major cloud provider

Nice to Have:

• Experience with observability solutions like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Distributed Tracing
• Experience with service mesh
• Proficiency with GitHub Actions and the GitHub ecosystem
• Experience building deployment pipelines
• Bazel expertise
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems

Compensation: $157,500 - $213,000 USD
