We're seeking an experienced and skilled Barista to join our team at Flow Miami.
As a Café Barista, you will greet customers, take orders, prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. You will collaborate with management to serve menus that celebrate seasonality and consistency while upholding elevated service standards and fostering teamwork through a culture of mutual respect and exceptional morale.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Crafting and serving a variety of beverages, including drip coffee, espresso drinks, tea, and specialty options Preparing and serving seasonal small plates Assisting customers with inquiries about menu selections Suggesting and promoting menu items to customers Processing customer payments Monitoring inventory for café and beverage supplies, such as coffee beans, milk, napkins, and cups Maintaining inventory levels by ordering coffee cups, coffee, milk, and food products in a timely manner, ensuring our stock is always replenished Staying informed about trends and events in the wellness space, including Flow Events and Immersion programs Engaging customers with relevant information and promoting our offerings Setting up and taking out outdoor furniture as needed, ensuring it is safe and comfortable for guests Consistently straightening and arranging chairs and tables to maintain café cleanliness, addressing areas that may be overlooked Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance Being knowledgeable about and actively selling Flow merchandise, engaging customers with enthusiasm and providing insights about the products
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of barista or café attendant experience, preferably in an upscale craft coffee shop with a focus on single origin, seasonal, and artisanal ingredients. Experience with new store openings, systems implementation, and developing culture is also highly valued. Excellent communication and basic skills are essential. A valid Food Handler's certificate and HACCP are preferred.
