Description
Twitch is seeking a Localization Program Manager to oversee the operational core of its localization program, including vendor coordination, content workflows, quality processes, and launch execution across 29 languages.
The successful candidate will join a lean team of senior professionals operating as strategic partners to Product and Engineering, focusing on delivering a native experience for global users.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end localization into 29 languages, including launches requiring creative asset localization, terminology building, and testing
- Monitor continuous localization operations and identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop and evolve localization quality processes, including testing and LQA workflows
- Improve translation quality output by developing and maintaining linguistic assets
- Influence upstream content operations for seamless, context-rich translations
- Build localization metrics reports (turnaround, quality scores, cost per word)
Requirements:
- 5+ years of localization project/program management experience
- Experience managing stakeholders and cross-organizational dependencies
- Familiarity with enterprise localization tools and translation management platforms (e.g., Smartling, memoQ, Phrase)
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Native speaker of one additional language
Preferred qualifications:
- Analytical mindset with data visualization and decision-making skills
- Native French, German, Chinese, or Japanese speaker
- Experience designing and implementing scalable localization processes and technical automation
- Track record of building localization programs from scratch or through transformation
- Experience evaluating MT/LLM quality in production workflows
- Solid understanding of localization metrics and data manipulation
