Description
At Bayer, we're looking for a Seed Technician to join our production operations team in Eloy, AZ. As a Seed Technician, you will be involved in all facets of row crop seed production (cotton). You will experience a variety of responsibilities throughout the growing season, including operating machinery/equipment for production processes, ensuring production processes happen safely, effectively, and with quality, and mentoring/training new employees.
You will work a rotating shift schedule, including some nights and weekends, as required. You will be responsible for performing basic maintenance of equipment, handling basic activities in Bayer systems (SAP and electronic networks), and applying operational excellence practices to operations (5S, Lean, Six Sigma, 5WHYs).
As a Seed Technician, you will also be responsible for troubleshooting problems associated with equipment, processes, and systems, performing preventive maintenance and inspections, and collaborating with key partners to deliver the business across plant and field operations.
You will be expected to demonstrate Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach (VACC) behaviours to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of products. You will lead and engage in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings, articulate shift objectives, and allocate resources across all active production areas.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic user knowledge of standard computer programs (Internet, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, tablets/smart devices), a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 60lbs (a bag of seed).
Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $27.03 - $33.85 per hour with overtime as applicable. Starting salary is based on the candidate's experience, education, and market pay for a role in the region.
