Description
Direct Custody and Clearing (DCC) Corporate Actions is an asset servicing function mainly providing services to institutional clients and retail clients in a domestic market. As a direct custodian, the team is responsible for the efficient and timely broadcast of corporate events to clients, processing of instructions, computing entitlements, and processing corporate event payments.
The Opportunity: You will have the opportunity to learn and understand the various types of corporate events and their life cycles. You will be enrolled in the Corporate Actions academy, which offers comprehensive product training and knowledge testing. You will also receive dedicated on-the-job training with a focused training plan for effective learning opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Process corporate events in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner.
- Act as the input agent for operations and ensure all allocated corporate events are processed within required timeframes.
- Demonstrate high levels of competency and understanding in processing all activities with high levels of accuracy.
- Ensure prompt escalation to the Manager for all matters that may present a potential financial loss or client service concern.
- Maintain satisfactory audit/regulatory/risk ratings and be consistent with Group and Company policies and standards requirements.
- Demonstrate critical and analytical skills, including the ability to analyze information and generate ideas/solutions for decision-making.
- Conduct periodic reviews of existing procedures to deliver efficiency and identify best practices.
- Provide support to team members on operational activities.
- Adapt to changes and support the Management's decisions.
Requirements:
- A post-graduate diploma or degree in any discipline.
- Relevant securities background and knowledge.
- At least 12 months of securities experience.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin/Cantonese.
- Good analytical, statistical, and data mining skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and networking skills.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
- Ability to work under pressure.
