Engineering Manager

As an Engineering Manager at Spotify, you will lead a team of skilled engineers distributed across Europe. Your primary goal is to support a highly effective engineering team delivering an amazing product. You will coach and develop the careers of team members, ensure high-quality deliveries, and partner with product managers to support prioritizations and product visions.

Responsibilities:

• Hire, coach, and develop the careers of a team of engineers
• Ensure high-quality deliveries
• Partner with product managers to support prioritizations and product visions
• Support the engineering team and work with Staff engineers to formulate the technical strategy needed to deliver on the company's vision
• Perform hands-on engineering work from time to time

Requirements:

• Experience developing great people and cultivating a strong engineering culture in an agile environment
• Skilled in collaborating on and developing distributed systems that can scale to millions of users
• Experience with data warehouses and data processing at scale
• Experience working on commercial SaaS products
• Strong people skills and leadership experience
• Passionate about software engineering best practices and large-scale tech problems
• Care deeply about product quality and hold people to a high standard
