At Ford Motor Company, we're looking for a Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Technology team. As a Data Engineer, you'll play a critical part in shaping the future of mobility by leveraging advanced technology to redefine the transportation landscape, enhance the customer experience, and improve people's lives.

We're seeking a highly skilled professional with experience in developing and maintaining applications using Data warehousing, ETL, Informatica IICS with Teradata, Oracle SQL/PLSQL or MS SQL Server. You'll be responsible for enhancing testing frameworks to ensure code quality, developing CI/CD pipelines for automation, and ensuring developed code and practices align to Ford Standards and Policies.

In addition, you'll automate performance monitoring and notification in the event of failures using best practices and tools. You'll work in a small agile team to deliver working software and adopt Extreme Programming (XP) practices like paired programming and mobbing. You'll also take time to continuously learn and share with peers by playing roles of mentee and mentor over the course of delivery.

Contribute to the strategic development and implementation of AI solutions, support building, validating, testing and deployment of AI/ML applications at Ford.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications using Data warehousing, ETL, Informatica IICS with Teradata, Oracle SQL/PLSQL or MS SQL Server.

  • Ensure developed code and practices align to Ford Standards and Policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field and 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  1. Writing SQL and Data Querying to extract and analyze data.
  2. Applying Agile Development Methodologies to manage project lifecycles and facilitate efficient delivery.
  3. Managing Stakeholder Communication and Management using JIRA/Rally, project status reports and regular presentations.
  4. Defining and documenting Product Requirements using JIRA, working and managing user stories for self and team.
  5. Performing data analysis and interpret to provide product Insights using SQL, GCP big query, or Alteryx.
  6. Designing Data Pipeline Architectures (ETL/ELT) to ensure efficient data flow and integration using tools including GCP big query, astronomer airflow, terraform, or Github.
  7. Utilizing Cloud Data Platforms and Technologies including Google cloud platform or AI technologies including LLM, Agentic AI, Langchain, or Google ADK.

We are offering a salary of $140,629.00 - $184,135.20/yr.
