Design Perceived Quality Specialist

Join Ford Motor Company's Design team as a Design Perceived Quality Specialist. This role involves driving Best-In-Class interior and exterior fit, finish, and surface execution for Ford and Lincoln vehicles.

The successful candidate will maintain and build Design PQ assessment reference libraries, improve Interior and Exterior Perceived Quality, and lead competitive assessment initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Design PQ assessment reference libraries
• Improve Interior and Exterior Perceived Quality for Ford and Lincoln products
• Lead competitive assessment initiatives to document Areas of Concern and Excellence
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and manufacturing teams to optimize surface execution
• Assess 3D surface quality and develop surface excellence and perfection

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Quality, and/or Engineering
• 7-8 years of studio engineering and/or design experience in an Automotive OEM
• Knowledge of automotive materials, surface development, and execution
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Salary: $99,100 - $166,200 per year
