As a Product Development Engineer, you'll work to deliver breakthrough products and services that delight our customers. You'll develop and refine design validation methods for ensuring proper feature-level performance, create system, software, and diagnostic requirements, and relevant specifications. You'll write software models, plan and execute design verification plans to ensure proper feature-level performance, and sign-off on feature-level performance. You'll also plan and execute real-world evaluations to identify system problems and issues. Domestic travel is required up to 10%.
To be successful in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. You'll also need 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. You'll need to utilize CAN tools to collect and diagnose vehicle communication data between different electronic modules, write scripts, models, and log instruments using Quality Documents 8Ds, and develop automotive features and systems by leveraging knowledge in Automotive Feature Specification Analysis.
